TerraMat Biodegradable Coir Blanket

TerraMat™erosion mat is a biodegradable coir fibre erosion control / re-vegetation blanket reinforced with two layers of fine filament photodegradable PP.
TerraMat™ acts as a highly effective soil erosion protection system to non-vegetated soil slopes and sufaces to promote the establishment of grasses and vegetation. The coir readily absorbs water which swells the fibre to act as mini-dams slowing surface water run-off minimising gullying, soil loss and seed loss due to water flushing.

TerraMat™ performs as a plant root reinforcement, readily drapes to follow the ground contour and is a cost effective medium term (12 to 36 months functional longevity) protection system for moderate flow channels and slopes having a maximum gradient of up to 1:1.
TerraMats™ functional longevity will vary depending upon climatic conditions, soil, geographic location, and elevation however when Terramat™ bio-degrades the resulting compost acts as a mulch to retain moisture and act as plant food.
